Istanbul Furniture Fair (IIFF), which is among the most important meetings of the world furniture industry and brings together the industry leaders, was visited by a total of 167,500 people, 141,736 of whom were local and 25,764 of whom were foreigners from 156 countries. More than 1,000 exhibitors and over 3 thousand brands built collaborations worth of billions of dollars for 6 days during the fair, which was supported by tents in addition to the 25 halls and held on an area of 250,000 square meters because of the high demand. For the first time, this year, the fair hosted foreign participants from 5 different countries in addition to the Turkish companies, and managed to surpass last year's figures.

"Both our industry and our fair are growing with firm steps"
Assessing the successfully completed Istanbul Furniture Fair (IIFF), Furniture Associations Federation (MOSFED) President Ahmet Güleç said: "Istanbul Furniture Fair has shown once again that both our industry and our fair are growing with firm steps. Last year, the total number of visitors was 121 thousand, 13 thousand of whom were from other countries, and this year, we easily exceeded those figures. More than 1,000 exhibitors participating in the fair made business agreements with purchasing professionals from 156 countries. We will see the effect of these agreements next year. The collaborations that were started during the fair, constitute an important part of our targets for 2023. As the Turkish furniture industry, we are improving our product and design quality every day.  We are among the top 8 exporting countries, and one of the 4 countries in the world in terms of product diversity. As the industry, we proudly represent our country in all the organizations we participate in around the world. We are gradually approaching our goal of being among the top 5 exporters of the world with our efforts. The 167,500 fair visitors renewed our hopes for the future. With the Istanbul Furniture Fair, we sowed the first seeds of our export target of 6 billion dollars in the 100th year of our Republic. We will reach our target by working hard for the rest of the year".

"The furniture industry showed its magnitude"
Pointing out that the fair attracted great interest from all over the world, TÜYAP Fuarlar Yapım A.Ş. General Manager İlhan Ersözlü said: "The Istanbul Furniture Fair, which offered a different experience as Turkey's first fair, which was held simultaneously in two exhibition centers last year, did not fit into the two exhibition centers this year, and took place on an area of 250,000 square meters, which included areas for tents. As Tüyap Fairs, Mos Fairs and MOSFED, we are trying to provide the highest contribution to both the production and export targets of our country's furniture industry with the our cooperation and organization. This year, we hosted 25,764 international industry professionals from 5 continents and 156 countries including Asia, Europe, Africa, North America and South America, and our exhibitors from the 7 geographical regions of our country held various cooperation meetings with our international visitors. With a total of 167,500 visitors, we left the figures of the previous year well behind, and the Turkish furniture industry showed its magnitude once again. The positive results and the business agreements signed have motivated us. We want to thank the Furniture Associations Federation (MOSFED), Mos Fair Organization, all furniture associations and all our participants. We are already starting to prepare to organize for the next year".
