International Istanbul Furniture Fair (IIFF) 2026 Concludes with Record Attendance, Delivering a Strong Global Message

International Istanbul Furniture Fair (IIFF) 2026 Concludes with Record Attendance, Delivering a Strong Global Message

The International Istanbul Furniture Fair (IIFF) 2026 has successfully concluded, setting new records with its outstanding participation figures and delivering a powerful message of global strength. A total of 132,912 professional visitors—including 32,145 international and 100,767 domestic attendees—met with the Turkish furniture industry in Istanbul.

However, what made IIFF 2026 truly significant was not only the numbers, but the transformation they represented. Going beyond the traditional concept of a trade fair, IIFF once again demonstrated its role as a strategic platform where design meets production, culture intersects with technology, and local capabilities converge with global markets.

A Top-Tier Global Meeting Point for the Furniture Industry

Ranked among the world’s top three most prestigious furniture industry gatherings, the International Istanbul Furniture Fair (IIFF) 2026 brought together professionals from across the globe in Istanbul.

Organized simultaneously at the Istanbul Fair Center and TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center under the coordination of the Federation of Furniture Associations (MOSFED), the fair hosted 3,000 brands and the industry’s latest collections across 250,000 square meters, connecting them with global buyers.

With participation from 156 countries, IIFF 2026 welcomed 132,912 professional visitors, including 32,145 international and 100,767 domestic attendees.

Industry representatives from a broad geography—particularly Bulgaria, Romania, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kosovo, Azerbaijan, Greece, Iraq, and Serbia—turned Istanbul into a central hub for global furniture trade.

The Pulse of Global Furniture Trade Beat at IIFF

Commenting on the fair, MOSFED Chairman Ahmet Güleç emphasized that IIFF has become a strategic platform shaping the direction of global trade:

“At a time when global trade balances are being redefined, Türkiye stands out with its production capacity, flexibility, and geographical advantages. The International Istanbul Furniture Fair represents a powerful ecosystem where trade, design, and future-oriented vision meet on the same ground. The gathering of professionals from 156 countries in Istanbul clearly demonstrates the level the Turkish furniture industry has reached on a global scale. The pulse of global furniture trade beat at IIFF.”

Highlighting the sector’s strategic goals, Güleç added:

“Today, the Turkish furniture industry simultaneously produces, designs, innovates, and holds a strong position in global markets. Our goal is clear: to position Türkiye among the world’s top five furniture exporters. IIFF continues to be our strongest showcase and most strategic meeting point on this journey.”

A Strong Showcase of Türkiye’s Global Potential

İlhan Ersözlü, General Manager of TÜYAP Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc., stated that IIFF 2026 once again demonstrated TÜYAP Fair Group’s organizational strength in international exhibitions and Türkiye’s potential in global trade.

“This large-scale organization, held simultaneously at TÜYAP Fair and Congress Center and Istanbul Fair Center, brought all stakeholders of the sector together around a shared vision, while powerfully presenting the Turkish furniture industry’s production capacity, design expertise, and export strength to the world.

With its identity as a specialized furniture trade fair, IIFF has become one of Europe’s most important exhibitions. As TÜYAP, we will continue with determination to position IIFF as one of the most strategic global meeting points for our industry.”

A Broad Furniture Spectrum from Modern to Luxury

Organized under the theme of “Sustainability”, IIFF 2026 strongly showcased the transformation of the Turkish furniture industry by bringing together environmentally responsible production, contemporary design, and an export-oriented vision on a single platform.

Welcoming a wide professional audience—from interior architects and decorators to chain store executives, import-export professionals, hotel purchasing managers, and designers—the fair stood out with its comprehensive structure covering all product groups.

These ranged from modern and modular furniture to luxury collections; from office, hotel, and outdoor furniture to bedding, children’s, and youth room solutions.

More than 132,000 professional visitors from over 150 countries and regions created a strong foundation for new business connections, long-term partnerships, and export agreements throughout the fair.

This high level of participation and international impact reaffirmed Istanbul’s central role in the global furniture industry, while once again positioning IIFF 2026 as a strategic meeting point that makes tangible contributions to Türkiye’s export goals.
